Tamagni Ray (Author)

Tamagni Ray is a PHD scholar from Deccan College specialising in archaeology, anthropology and museology. She is also pursuing a PG Diploma in Museology at Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute, where she also served as the Student Research Assistant under the Head of the Department of AIHC and Archaeology. Her research interests include ethnoarchaeology, underwater archaeology, human geography, and the cultural heritage of Northeast India. As part of her academic training, she is interning at Lucknow State Museum, working with archaeological collections of the early cultures. She has contributed to numerous academic projects, emphasizing the role of material culture in understanding human history.

Her first major project was with the 1947 Partition Archive, where she worked as a Citizen Historian. During this time, she collected an oral history interview of a partition witness, which has since been accepted for preservation at the Stanford University Libraries at Berkeley, California.

Preeti is a currently a History Honours student at the Maitreyi College-University of Delhi, currently living in Delhi. She has a strong interest in history, culture, and creative design. Along with her studies, she has worked on designing more than Seven newsletters.

Currently, she is also working as a Campus Ambassador under the Ministry of Culture, where she helps promote cultural awareness among students.She has also worked with several ngo's for more than 1 year.. where she contributed through design, communication, and outreach activities.
